  1. I was actually hoping that people would say she wasn't fat but apparently she is. let's face it middle aged women don't gain weight because their hormones change. besides if you have ever seen the show you would know that these women judge her for her weight, she gets angry bc of the way they act toward her and especially her children. I'm not saying that being fat is OK, there is a limit, but just bc someone isn't bone thin doesn't make them fat

  2. It's a fictional show. This day and age ya'll are going to die young due to the lack of humour. I think this is a great show. All we can really do is laugh.

  3. so you have an INCREDIBLE actress doing a shit show centered around the womans weight? wtf. The show is about 'body positivity' but it ends up dispariging women even more. She is such a compelling actress when she doesnt have the writing of daytime abc shit writers

  4. This is actually a pretty good show. Especially if you're like me and are done with the overly dramatic shows. It's not the best show but it's good for unwinding and have a few laughs!
I love the lead actress, she's very funny and not fat like some are saying. Not everyone has to be supper skinny. Lets not forget that everyone's body is different, and not everyone can loose weight super fast or keep it off.
I don't think the trailer does the show justice. The show deals with the stay at home mom issues, the insecurity of being overweight by society, the oblivious/not helpful father/husband, raising children correctly, and normal life, with people making fun of others. Let's be honest and admit that everyone makes fun of someone at least once a week…
If you watch the show you'll understand why she doesn't want the green drinks in her household, it's because she doesn't want her oldest daughter to become obsessed with her looks and weight so soon. She takes her son's money to give to a charity because he's turning into a money obsessed, selfish, soon to be criminal, who only thinks of becoming rich and doesn't believe in helping others. Along with dealing with a special needs class.
It's a funny show, don't worry so much about it!

  5. I don't get why people are mad she's "skinny shaming" women. 1. this is kinda accurate of how most women look in real life Westport and 2. nobody says shit when a heavier women is being fat shamed so why are y'all upset she's talking about skinny chicks 🙄

  6. Also, apparently nobody on this comment section is a woman who has battled with their weight. Nor do you have a sense of humor. She's not shaming healthy women, she's not negative or abusive to her children. The fact is she moved to a snobbish town to make sure her kids got a great school system. It's a comedy, it's not real life.

  7. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show. Katy Mixon is hysterical and the entire cast is perfect with her. I hope ABC doesn't pull one of their usual stunts and cancel and really good show. Because this deserves to stay. It's just adorable!

  8. As an actual citizen of Westport, CT, I can attest that this is perfectly accurate. This is exactly how everyone acts and how they are 😂😂😂. This is what they're missing tho:

    -The Millions of Frat Boys
-There are way more boats than you think
    -Like way more
-There are like 5 Marinas/Harbors and they're all massive
    -Everyone's obsession with Vineyard Vines
-The multitudes of basic chicks/coffee bars.
-A total of 8 minority families

If there are any Westporters reading this help me out 😂 #wreckerpride

  9. Maybe you're allowed to feel bad.
What the hell is wrong with people, where they think the trouble is 'feeling bad' and not what is making them feel bad. It's this babying mentality that so many people grew up with that lets them think that if your feelings got hurt, it is the other persons fault. Now, people are fat, entitled, and stupid, and it means everyone else has to change to accommodate them.

  10. "Hey folks, get a load of this kooky bunch of characters that is totally "not your average family"! Watch in stunned reverie as they gradually warm the hearts and charm the pants off a cast of complete stereotypes and eventually manage to solve all problems with the power of love and laughter!"

…Sound familiar? What you read above could easily have been applied to any of the following shows: FULL HOUSE, FAMILY TIES, THE GOLDEN GIRLS, FAMILY MATTERS, PERFECT STRANGERS, SEINFELD, THE KING OF QUEENS, TWO AND A HALF MEN, THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN… and I could go on.

See, this is why Youtube is kicking your ass, television producers.

  11. this show skinny shames "skinnies" which is what they call them. I'm not going to keep watching this if they skinny shame healthy people just to make fat slobs feel better about themselves.
